"When we eat and when we taste we use our tongues.
when we eat and when we taste we use our tongues,
when we eat and when we taste all the things there are to taste,
when we eat and when we taste we use our tongues."
Honey tastes?
SWEET!
Chips taste?
SALTY!
Unsweetened cocoa is?
BITTER!
At snack we had this conversation:
Morah Katie: If we sprinkled unsweetened cocoa on our bananas what would it taste like?
Levi: Bitter!
Morah Katie: If we dipped our bananas in honey would they become bitter too?
Daniel: No, sweet!
Morah Katie: What would our bananas taste like if we poured lemon juice on them?
Levi: Sour!
Morah Katie: What do you think our bananas would taste like if we ate them with chips?
Daniel: Salty sweet.
Morah Katie: Is there a special time of year when we dip apples in honey?
Levi: Yes. Rosh Hashanah.
Morah Katie: Why do we dip our apples in honey for the new year?
Levi: So we have a sweet new year.
We sampled lemonade and we discovered that when sugar and water are added to lemon juice, the lemon juice becomes less sour and much sweeter!
We created plates with pictures of items we can taste.
We ate yams in honor of "y".
Morah Katie: What do the yams taste like? Salty? Sweet? Bitter? Sour?
Levi: Not so good.
Kian: Sweet, I like it.
"When we sniff and when we smell we use our nose,
when we sniff and when we smell we use our nose,
when we sniff and when we smell all the things there are to smell,
when we sniff and when we smell we use our nose."
We experienced some delicious scents:
Peppermint
Vanilla
Anise
