Sweet like Honey

Morah Katie: Why have we been talking about honey and sweetness?
Matan: It's Rosh Hashanah.
Morah Katie: What is Rosh Hashanah?
Lochlan: It is a special day.
Morah Katie: Why is it special?
Matan: We eat sweet food.
Morah Katie: Why do we eat sweet food?
Maya:  It's Rosh Hashanah!
Morah Katie: Why do we dip apples in honey?
Maya/Matan: Love.
Emily: It's sweet.
Aura: We do sweet things.  
Morah Katie: What do we use the Shofar?
Jade: We blow it.
Morah Katie: Why?
Matan: It's Rosh Hashanah. It wakes us up.
Morah Katie: How do you feel when your friends share with you?
Kids: Happy!
Morah Katie: How do you feel when your friends don't share?
Kids: Sad.
Morah Katie: We always hope to feel sweet, and we hope our friends feel sweet. Sometimes we don't. When we are not feeling sweet, sometimes we are feeling sour. To help you understand that feeling, we are going to taste test the difference between sweet and sour lemons and honey. 
Morah Katie: What does honey taste like?
Kids: Sweet/yummy/good.
Morah Katie: What do lemons taste like?
Kids: Sour!
Morah Katie: How would you prefer to feel?
Kids: Happy/Good!
Morah Katie: How do you think your friends want to feel?
Kids: Good!
Morah Katie: What can you do to help your friends feel that way? 
Matan: Share!
Lakshmi: Giving a gift to them or a note.
Jade: Be nice!
Matan: Play with them.
Lochlan: Sharing.
Jade: Saying something nice, not being mean to them.
Emily: Being friends with friends.
